Decals

This is an area that causes many issues for those wishing to restore vintage bicycles back to their original look.

The Austral is no different.

With so few bicycles around and with even smaller numbers known to collectors, finding bicycles with near complete original decals is a very hard task.

As part of the project I am hoping to gather enough visual information so that it might be possible to get accurate reproductions made of the Austral decals.

With decals available more people may be inclined to restore older Australs rather than put it in the too hard basket and throw the bikes out or turn them into faceless fixies.

If you have an Austral bike with clear Austral decals present I'd love to see some photos if possible and start to piece together a set that could lead to it being available for all to enjoy.
